About Me

ElizabethHeadShot2I grew up in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada with a mother devoted to the vibrant fantasies of Guy Gavriel Kay and Charles de Lint, and a father addicted to the classic science fiction of Robert Heinlein and Joe Haldeman. With that sort of upbringing, it’s no surprise that I’ve spent most of my life pursuing and writing fantastic, emotionally gripping genre narratives.

While studying English and Comparative Literature at the University of Alberta, I reviewed fantasy and sci-fi novels on the side for the e-zine The Green Man Review, and spent my summers reviewing romance novels for my own blog, Gossamer Obsessions. Along the way, I discovered favourite authors Laura Kinsale, Libba Bray, Kate Elliott, and John Scalzi.

After I picked up a secondhand copy of BioWare’s Dragon Age: Origins, I fell in love with interactive storytelling as well. Hundreds of hours of gaming later, I taught myself how to write with Twine and decided to pursue a dream of becoming a game writer, eventually going on to write choice-based narratives for both BioWare and Pixelberry Studios (creators of the mobile app Choices: Stories You Play).

And now you’re all caught up. Whether I’m playing games, reading books, or watching movies, I’m always a sucker for a great narrative, and I do my best to bring that same storytelling energy to my own work.
